Heritage Centre

The centre at Coalburn's One Stop Shop offers the following facilities:
- Archive of the late Jim Hamilton - thousands of photographs and documents relating to Coalburn's social history and mining heritage.
- Reference library featuring 80 volumes of Jim Hamilton's COALBURN CHRONICLES booklet.
- Numerous photographs and items of local interest on display.
- Audio/Visual Facilities - Coalburn 'past and present' videos and slides on show.
The Heritage Centre is normally open between 11.30 am and 1.00 pm on Tuesdays and on Thursdays for people to drop in. Occassionally we don't have cover at these times so please do contact us in advance if you are travelling a distance. We can also open at other times by arrangement.

The Heritage Resource Room is a community asset and one that we are keen should be accessible and well used, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to visit.
